Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire
5 out of 5

Fantastic stay at this cosy hotel at the edge of the city. Being at the edge of the city gives the hotel its best advantage - quiet but near. 5 stars location> less than 5mins walk to city central or grand place 5 stars amenities> they had everything any traveller possibly needed. only thing, take note of the water kettle, may be a little dirty inside. 5 stars room cleanliness> good was clean and comfortable. v good bed and reasonably sized. 5 stars staff service> service was good. staff speak good english 5 stars value> absolutely worth paying price of 3 stars for a 4 stars hotel

We stayed 3 nights. The rooms are quite big with a sofa/bed as well as double bed. The double bed is not huge. I thought the wifi was a bit expensive and didn't bother. It's very well located for the Christmas market, which is just around the corner in Sr Katherine's. Also well located for the city centre. We found the room a bit too hot for sleeping and had to put on the air conditioning at night. But really a very nice room and hotel.

The rooms were a good size and quiet with the windows closed. The number of "derelicts" around the hotel was abit disconcerting, but they caused no trouble whatsoever and we never felt threatened. Rooms were clean, but the carpeted area of the restaurant at breakfast time was "crummy" from croissants...more of a design problem than a personnel problem, though! I suppose the only real complaint we could mention is the speed of the internet service. One pays for TIME on the internet and it is VERY SLOW to respond which makes it rather costly. PLUS the cost of PAY TV is very high for what is included! We like the St.Cathérine area very much and access to Grand Place is very easy. We'd stay at the Novotel Brussels Centre Tour Noire Hotel again....without hestitation!!

I loved the location near (2 minutes) Bruckerei metro station. The room was spacious. The bed, pillow and the blanket were very comfortable for me. Breakfast was good and I loved the coffee. Only front doors opened too late. I mean you nearly had to touch the door with your nose until the doors started to move. If you came with quick walk, then you faced the closed doors and had to wait until these open.

It is a very good hotel located very near to the Grand Place. The best way to reach it if going by train: stop in Bruxelles Central and take metro /underground 1A or 1B to De Brouckère (just 1 stop). If I remember correctly, take exit 4 and when in the street just cross the road and continue straight. Hotel is in the second street to the right. I definitely would stay in this hotel again.

The only thing that I think they could change is the pillows in the room, they are square and small otherwise a very nice hotel reasonable and walking distance to everything, would stay again

Amazingly the hotel does not have any none feather pillows. As a person with an allergy to feathers it meant I had to go out and buy a pillow. Not a very helpful receptionist.

The price rate provided by the website was good value considering the normal prices charged by even average hotels in central Brussels. The hotel was a good standard and quiet, but still well placed to see central Brussels. The metro was only a short walk away, giving good access to Brussels in general
