Rena is a small town in the county of Hedmark in eastern Norway, about 144 km north of Oslo. Rena Climate
Rena has a relatively dry inland climate. Average high temperatures peak in the summer months at 19°C, but during the winter months of December to February the average high temperature goes down to -6°C, when there is significant snowfall. There is also moderate rainfall during the year.
Getting There & Around
Oslo Airport, Gardermoen, is the nearest international airport, just 109 km south of Rena, and is the main gateway to Norway. Driving from the capital to town takes around two hours. There is also a train station on the Røros Line, which goes to the major cities and towns.
Although a rural area, there is a reasonable bus service in Hedmark County. You can hire a car at the airport if you prefer to drive, and there are local taxis available as well.
