Kristiansund Climate
Kristiansund offers a cool climate most of the year with summer highs of 16ºC and winter lows of -1ºC. Being a coastal city, it is slightly warmer than other parts of Norway and has less snow. The seasons are marked more by changes in daylight, as the winter days are quite short and summer days can have as many as 20 hours of daylight.
Getting There & Around
The Kristiansund International Airport is only 6 km from the centre of the city, and there are coach buses to many other Norwegian cities available. You can drive from the mainland using European Route E39 and take Route 70 right into town. You can also cruise the coastline from the local seaport.
Nettbuss Møre operates blue city buses, and the Sundbåt ferry system carries passengers between the islands.
