North Stafford Hotel Stoke On Trent Guest Reviews
Convenient only for the railway station - all restaurants and pubs area taxi ride away. Interior is shabby.

Having read some of the reviews on Google Maps Mobile, I was pleasantly surprised to find a quiet, clean and comfortable hotel at a good price in an excellent location (right in front of Stoke railway station). OK, so some of the facilities in the room were not the most modern, but everything one would expect was there - shower, toilet, trouser press, TV, coffee, kettle. I think only someone who was very picky or was unlucky would complain about the hotel. I accept that some of the guests were a bit unruly, but as long as they are not in surrounding rooms, this is hardly a big problem as the hotel is huge. The floors are quite creaky, but then it is an old building. For the price I paid, I was quite pleasantly surprised.

The staff are excellent and very helpful. Location is directly opposite the main rail station, with 2 bus stops and a taxi rank opposite as well. The rooms were large but slightly dated - although very clean. There are a number of bars, a restaurant and pool room in the hotel. There is car parking at the front for about 15 cars. The room was quiet and the bed large and comfortable. Great value for money.

While this hotel is very convienent to the train station, I found very little else in the area. If you are just looking for an hotel close to rail stataion this is ideal for you as it is only accross the street. If you plan going for a drink nearby, plan for a long walk.
