Normandie Hotel London Guest Reviews
Just back from the UK, where i stayed 4 nights. The hotel is old and a bit run down, however for the price it was more than adequate. The rooms were clean, the bed comfortable, and bathroom & shower were small. The free breakfast was good the staff were friendly and obliging.

Good price and very good location, but not the best service i've had from them. It was noisy and we had a smokers room this time around.

Historic hotel I guess, and typical of the terrace row type hotels in this street. Very tiny room, bathroom even tinier, some attempt at moderization but if drop the soap in the shower have to open the door to get room to retrieve it! Very steep stairs to get to my room. Four flights, and then have to juggle smoke door and room door to get key into the lock and get inside! My advice always ask if there is a lift! There are other hotels in the same location with better facilities and similar price.

Nice, typical London B&B. The bathroom was large and actually has room for more than one person at a time. There is a small heater in the room and a supplemental plug in. English breakfast was fine and the coffee was quite good. The staff was pleasant and helpful. There was a pay up front policy, which seemed a bit unusual, especially when compared to other hotels in the area. I tried to coordinate calling for messages at the hotel, but they did not answer. Also, there were smokers in the surrounding rooms, and the smoke traveled throughout. I'm not sure what the policy is, but I did see No Smoking signs in the stairwells. Noting the policy could be important for those who are not used to smokers. We had a room on the street side and it was a bit noisy, not terrible, just more than we were used to. Overall, this was a pleasant place to stay and the experience was good. It is a very convenient, affordable choice for anyone staying in London.
