The Staffs are friendly and helpful. The environment is clean and up to expectation. The interior design of the hotel is very beautiful. Beds are comfortable as well. It would be better if the staff provide more information of the Island facilities in a more proactive way. The experience will also be further enhanced if the hotel/resort with the activities operators can help to arrange and provide specific time slot(s) for customer to choose for certain sea activities that require certain minimal number of person. Activities like snookeling, fishing trip, etc. This let the customer to better plan their activities in advance. The only downside to me is the Pasar Oleh Oleh. Nothing much there, it is better to go to the town.

Each resort in Nirwana Gardens are scattered within a similar area and the resort provides shuttle bus services for easy navigation. The buses arrive at 30 min intervals. Some buses looked like safari bus which provides wooden chair and open sides. Some buses are air-conditioned. The Nirwana gardens terrain is big. I have to take bus to another resort for dinner and another for drinks. Quite convenient. I travelled to all the resorts via the bus and i was very glad that i stayed at Nirwana resort hotel as it was has the most facilities and most well lit at night. Other resorts looked dark at night and also look like there are less staff around (i guess it depends on the crowd?). The resort is about 5 mins walk from Activity centre. Many different kinds of restaurants to choose from too. I was there 2d1n and i think i didn't have time to enjoy all facilities. I missed out visiting the town and also all the water sports and ATV. Honestly, i didn't even find out where these sports are after i saw the price list. WOW... it is expensive because I was slightly on a budget constraint. However, I still spent almost $260 for 2 pax 2D1N including the following activities (exclude hotel and ferry): 1) dinner- Kelong and beach resort 2) drinks on Saturday night @ the Nirwana beach resort 3) 2 massages 4) some games 5) 2 lunch They have about 6 restaurants around the terrain for dinner. I guess the cheaper ones probably the pool side (Nirwana resort hotel) and beach resort (Nirwana beach resort- the only restaurant there) which serves pizza and pasta etc. SGD 15 up. The Kelong was worth visiting but it costs somewhat similar in the Singapore seafood restaurants. The staff advised me not to go to Pasar Oleh Oleh ("Town") as the massage there is same price as Nirwana Garden- Activity centre. They added that the Town sell only souvenirs which are costly and also priced at SGD. However, i think the food at the town may be cheaper than those in the resort itself but it costs $5 for the shuttle service to town (takes about SGD 15) if you are still interested. Typical price for 1 hour Bali (oil) or Thai (non-oil) massage at the activity centre: - 10:00 to 13:00 SGD 31 Net - 13:00 onwards SGD 35 to SGD 40 (can't remember) They have room massage at SGD 33 (till late night) and beach massage at SGD 31 (till 5pm). p.s.** Please take their oil massage as they are better at that. I rate them 5/5 for oil massage. 3/5 for Thai massage. I also recommend a massage package SGD 96.80 (or SGD 88 w/o tax for Two) which includes a seafood lunch or dinner at the activity centre. Personally felt that it was worth the try considering that it was a 5 course meal including small portions of: 1) breaded fried prawns 2) chicken soup 3) garlic pan fried kang kong 4) breaded fried calamari 5) fried chicken wing On a scale of 5 i rate the food 3.5/5 because it was worth it but not very tasty. There was a night party at the beach resort and the music and the singers were fantastic. Of course, it also depends on the crowd’s enthusiasm... but from my experience I rate beach party 5/5! ** p.s.: bring insect repellent please. Last but not least, the beach with clear waters and soft fine sand also their nice infinity pool should not be missed. Go there to see it for yourself. I rate the beach 5/5 I have been to Batam and I think Batam is more value for money.
