Managua Climate

Managua has a tropical climate, and it is so near the equator that it experiences little seasonal difference in temperature. Year round, the daily average is somewhere between 28-32ºC, though April can see temperatures as high as 38ºC. Most of the nearly 2,000 mm of annual rain falls between May and October.

Getting There & Around

Major airlines, such as Delta and Continental, make multiple scheduled flights in to Augusto Sandino International Airport every week. If you are already in the country, nearly every city has bus connections to the capital.

Buses are fairly common in Managua and very inexpensive. However, there are no known maps of their routes, so you will need to ask questions about their destinations if you use them for transport.
