Nh Koeln Mediapark Cologne Hotel Guest Reviews
Having stayed many times at this hotel the overall standard is not anywhere near as good since changing from the Italian group to the NH group. It is now just another ok business hotel. Reception staff are superb however the restaurant waiting staff are very average and can be obnoxious. Being situated on Media Park it is a brisk 20 minute walk to the city centre (Dom and Haupbahnhoff). Trains are about 15 minutes walk (Hansaring Station) and the nearest underground ststion is only a 5 minutes walk.

We found this hotel absolutly excellent it was well placed, very well run and Extreemly reasonable with its pricing. The staff were fantastic from beginning to end and could not do enough to help. Their resteraunt was superb serving late into the night. It was the best imaginable hotel for the last two nights of our honeymoon and we could not have been more delighted. A**** Fantastic!

For city centre hotel, this was pleasantly situated in the Media Park. Our room had a very 'green' view over the Park. Useful parking under the hotel and an excellent location for walking into the city or getting public transport around the area. We ate lunch and breakfast in the hotel, and both were very good - with excellent service from the staff. Our only (very small) niggle was the lack of English language channels on the TV, but it's an Italian chain in a German city - so we shouldn't really complain! We would stay there again.

When we booked the hotel, we felt that the location seemed a little remote from reports we read. Myself personally I did not find it a problem at all. In fact seeing all the road and building works in the city it was like an oasis. Taxi's from the Media Park to the Centre only cost 6 to 7 euro's. Plus there were plenty of restaurants and bars nearby making it a great break. The hotel is one I would recommend whole heartedley.
