Everything was very good staying at this hotel. If you like walking, it's a bit further than I prefer to walk say from Wanchai and Central after a day of out-and-about. It's not far to walk if you haven't been out all day shopping and sightseeing. The good thing about the location though is that the tram (best and cheapest transport in HK along with the Star Ferry) is just around the corner from the hotel. Room was spacious (for HK) clean and tidy and the price was very reasonable. I would stay there again.

the hotel was a good price you have to be prepared for the market outside the front door. however the tram runs right ouside the hotel the site is just out of this world takes you back to the 1960s HK . The hotel has a coupon self service laundry room which proves very handy MTR is 10 - 15 min walk away tram 5 min and buses 5 min

The Newton Inn is ideally situated on Hong Kong Island, just off Kings Road, between North Point & Fortress Hill MTR Stations. The tram to North Point terminates directly outside the Hotel, before begining it's journey back to Central. With the MTR, Trams & Buses,we were never far from the centre. These services close around midnight, but the inexpensive taxis were always available to get us home.The staff spoke very good English, were helpful and polite, and the Newton offers excellent value for money, cleanliness & location. The absence of a restaurant was NOT important, as the Kings Road is awash with food halls.

For the price this was a very resonable hotel. Unfortunately the pool was closed and the hotel has no restuarant but the rooms were well kept. Situated in front of a local Market which might put some people off and not a great deal for tourists in North Point itself. Is a short work to North Point MTR, which is about 3-5 stops out form main areas on HK Island you are likely to visit, but it's so cheap and efficient (well compared to london's tube) it's not really a problem. For those really on the budget there is also the Island Tram which stops just outside the hotel.
