Getting There & Around
The nearest airport is at Wellington. International flights will connect via Auckland and Christchurch. There is a ferry that will take passengers and cars from Picton on the South Island to Wellington. From Wellington, Martinborough can be reached by bus and train. A commuter train runs to Masterton. From Masterton, Tranzit Coachlines and Wairarapa Coach Lines operate buses that will bring you directly to Martinborough. It is also possible to reach Martinborough by car taking State Highway 2 or 53.
