Marlborough Climate
Marlborough is renowned for its dry climate and many hours of sunlight, which make it perfect for producing wine. Average high temperatures are around 25°C, but it can go above 30°C. Winter is mild with average high temperatures of around 10°C.
Getting There & Around
The TranzCoastal train stops in all the main towns of Marlborough, such as Blenheim and Picton, and is a great way to view the magnificent coastlines. There are ferries that connect the North Island to the South Island, travelling from Wellington to Picton. There are some domestic airports at Blenheim and Picton, which have flights from Weillington and Auckland.
Public transport in Marlborough is limited, though buses and trains do stop at all the major towns in the region. There are water taxis from Picton to the Queen Charlotte Sound for a scenic way of travelling as well.
