Getting There and Around
Haast is located near several New Zealand airports, including Queenstown Airport, Christchurch International Airport, and Dunedin International Airport, giving international travellers plenty of options for arriving in the area. The region is also located along Highway 6 near Highway 73, allowing easy access for those travelling by car.
Since the Haast region is so sparsely populated, there is no public transportation service. Rather, visitors can hire a rental car from the airport and use it to get around the area as needed.
