Cambridge Climate
The area has a temperate, damp climate with over 100 cm of rain per year. Temperatures range from 22-26°C in the summer and 10-16°C in the winter. There really isn’t a bad time to travel anywhere in New Zealand, and Cambridge is no exception. Many travellers prefer the summer because it brings higher temperatures and milder weather.
Getting There & Around
Since there is no airport or train station, most people drive to Cambridge; because the town is on State Highway 1, it is well served by bus. Go Kiwi has inexpensive daily shuttles from both Auckland and Hamilton. The nearest airport is in Hamilton, and the closet international airport is in Auckland.
