New Dragon Hostel Beijing Guest Reviews

3.6 out of 5

hotel location is good, affordable food is all over the place. very near to wangfujing. you can walk safely even at night. only rooms smells smoke and bed really very hard, feels like your sleeping in a plywood. internet in the double and triple room is good. Our room has good heater, March is still freezing cold. For those who wants to spend their money wisely I recommend this hotel!

the location is so the best thing about the hostel, 3 minute easy walk to metro station. and buses at the end of the street that went to summer palace and the zoo. staff are helpful. only draw back their internet access seems to be infrequent and no other e cafe nearby..

When I arrived they could not find my reservation but finally they said that it is no problem. The staff is not very kind but speaks a little English.

If you get a room with balcony, I belive it is ok, but if you travel alone like I did, you don't. I payed the same for a room as anyone else but since I were alone, I first got a room with no window. I told them that I could not stay in a room with no window for 6 days so I got a room with a small window high up on the wall and with a smell in the bathroom witch made me sick. The small kitchen they use to make breakfast is actually a toilett and very dirty. The young woman in the reseption did her best but the 5-6 others, all men, did not do much. The internett were often occupide of the staff and machines did not work. Luckely I had boocked the room throug [website] and paied less than the others. But people paid between 35$ and 20$, and It was not worth that price. I had to move becaus I were afraid of getting sick from what ever smelled so bad. The hole room was humid. So if you travel alone find another place to stay.

This location is very close to many great venues. The two person bedroom were two afixed uncomfortable twin beds and apparently no hot water avalible to shower. It was much like a hostel atmosphere. I guess one can't get everything!
