The hotel seemed OK from reviews and I chose it after reading many. I arrived at the hotel and while it wasn't the Ritz, it didn't seem that bad. I've stayed in many, many hotels but was this was the first time this has ever happened to me. I awoke early to find that I had bites all over my upper torso, hands and face. I was already starting to itch and got out of bed to discover my sheets had bits of blood and bugs moving at the edges. I killed two and this made the sheets clearly stained with bed and dead bugs. It was disgusting but I wasn't panicked, and took the sheets to the reception. I was polite (maybe shocked?) and told the receptionist that the hotel had bed bugs. He said, "Sometimes people leave the door open and they get in." He must have misunderstood but these were crawling, not flying, and so full of blood that they moved slowly across the sheets. I have welts two days later that itch horribly, and my face and even earlobe are inflamed. I'm now paranoid to have brought them home. This was a rather unfortunate experience, but the hotel staff was even more incomprehensible. Surely I'm not the first who has found out this itchy and annoying experience.

Basic but clean. Good location for station and shops. Centre a pleasant 20ish walk. Would recommend.

My room was unpretentious but clean. There was a lot of noise from the next room, some soundproofing would be a very positive step.

It was a cheap hotel, but we were very satistfied! a good location, helpfully staff, it was clean and the shower was very good, better than our shower at home :)
