Napoleon Hotel Paris
4 out of 5

My husband, our 19 yrs old son and I stayed in the junior suite for 8 nights. By chance we were checked in by the Manager himself who was extremely pleasant and welcoming. But that was it!! Any other day/night we passed the reception desk we barely got a smile or nod or greeting!! Except for the day duty Concierge Mr Alain...he was friendly, pleasant and most helpful. He sorted out every problem we had. The housekeeping needs a shakeup to say the least! Of the 8 nights we were there....I had to do our beds for 4 nights...even after making a complaint. We were 3 adults in a junior suite and for 4 days we got just 2 bath towels. The shower cubicle drain was clogged, and even after complaining it was not looked into, till I complained more vocally to Mr Alain. We would come back to our room and find that though the beds were made, the coffee cups were left dirty. The room service was prompt and everyone there was cheerful and helpful. I believe they are in process of refurbishing and renovating the suites and rooms...our suite was clean but the decor and state of furniture definitely needs a facelift. The bathroom was so much better than the room!! The location is unbeatable...the suites are a good size and I would go back there just for this and the helpful Mr Alain.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. They speak perfect English (and French, of course:-). The rooms seem to be recently renovated and are clean. The concierge is also very helpful and is friendly. The location is superb. It's next door to L'Arc de Triomphe and Champs-Elysees, and the subway/RER station of Etoile - extremely convenient. It is not inexpensively priced, but is certainly worth the money.

The staff is very friendly and speaks perfect English (and French, of course). The concierge is also very helpful, and friendly. The rooms are clean, well kept. Very nice service in general, although the internet is a bit expensive (about EU20/24 hours). It is excellently located. Just next to Champs-Elysees and L'Arc de Triomphe. It's not inexpensive, but is well worth for the money.

I happened to really like this hotel. Even though it was approx. $200/nite, it seemed a bargain as it was located incredibly near the Arch de Triomphe, and only one avenue away from Champs Elysees. Decorated beautifully inside and out, the hotel had very pleasant staff, a lovely lobby, and, a wonderful restaurant. Try the chicken dish they specialize in there.
