NH Galaxy Hotel Amsterdam Guest Reviews
The hotel told us upon check in that it is an airline CREW hotel. As such, they treated us as second-class citizens in every way possible! Every time I asked for something, whether it be postage stamps or internet access, I was told "Yes!". Then they immediately asked if I was a stewardess for ***** Airlines, and when I said that I wasn't, I was then told "No!". Even when I tried to buy coffee in the lobby, the price went from $12.00 for two espressos (outrageous!) to over $25.00 (INSANE!) when I told them I wasn't a stewardess for ***** Airlines!

Upon checking in, we were advised by the front desk staff that this is a "CREW HOTEL" for D. Airlines employees. (A major airline with a huge base in Atlanta, whose name starts with a "D" and rhymes with felta.) As such, hotel guests who are not D. Airlines employees are definitely treated as second-class citizens! Every time I asked about something at the front desk (ie: postage stamps, shuttle service, free WiFi internet access, etc.), I was told "Yes!", followed by "You ARE a D. Airlines employee, correct?" And when I answered "No, I do not work for D. Airlines", I was then told the answer was "NO" to whatever I had just asked about! Even a cup of coffee in the lobby cost TWICE as much when they discovered that I didn't work for D. Airlines! (Cost: 27 Euros for 2 cups of coffee and 2 stinking pastries! That's almost $40!) Bottom line: Non D. Airlines people are definitely treated as second-class citizens at this hotel!

A very corporate hotel - not close to the heart of Amsterdam.

Good value hotel, a good walk and free ferry ride from the centre but a regular shuttle bus is provided and runs until late at night. Excellent service.
