Location
The Hotel Mutiara Malioboro is conveniently located right on vibrant Malioboro street, only 15 minutes away from the airport and 5 minutes away from Tugu train station.
Rooms
All of the 119 rooms are decorated in traditional Javanese style and have air conditioning, private bathroom, minibar, work desk, phone, and cable TV. The rooms are spacious and have been recently remodeled.
Restaurant
There are several dining options at the Hotel Mutiara. The Tiara Restaurant and the Mirah Restaurant serve up international cuisine. The Sekaten Bar and Lounge is a tasteful place to enjoy a glass of wine in the company of good friends. The pool bar, next to the outdoor pool, is a relaxed and comfortable place to sip a cocktail while enjoying the Indonesian sun.

I have requested extra mattress for the room. The additional mattress and towel is not provided after I checked to the room. Some more called for few times, only the requested items are delivered. This should be provided/prepared upfront before the customer enter the room.

This location is on the malioboro street, the best street at jogja. When I check out at 05.00 AM, hotel serve about breakfast, nasi gudeg, wrap it and hotel officer say "sir the breakfast have ready yet". So i take and bring to taksi and eat it on the Mandala plain to jakarta. thanks a lot to Mutiara Hotel.

The hotel staff are very helpful and will help you book excursions. Ask at reception. Breakfast is good and caters for european tastes and local. The location is excellent. The swimming pool is not very inviting. Reccomended.
