Mount Lavinia Hotel Guest Reviews
The staff were very friendly and spoke good english. We were able to arrange a room transfer so that we could over look the beach. The breakfast was amazing an they had a good variety. Overall a great hotel and I would definitely be staying there again.

A lovely old hotel which badly needs refurbishing of rooms & bathrooms, which are distinctly grungy. Food very good, service usually very good. A 2 hour drive from airport which is not clear on website.

Great views from the restaurant/bar/pool. Great range of breakfast offerings everyday. Staff were very friendly and courteous - could not fault the service.

Stayed here as its somewhere ive always wanted to stay, you can get better facilities at a better place so you are really paying for teh grandeur and history. The hotel seems to concentrate on weddings, parties and functions so at times the service was slow but the staff were generally polite and helpful. A fantastic experience all round - the railway station adjacent is an added bonus as you can use the service easily and cheaply to get in to Colombo or down to Galle
