Motel Santa Cruz Guest Reviews
My friends and I decided to stop for a night in Santa Cruz and stayed at this hotel. It was okay. We got a cornered room facing the front of the hotel and didn't mind. In fact, the room was big, spacious and clean. We were quite satisfied but then we soon come to realize the AC wasn't working so it was steamy hot but we opened the window so it was fine. The remote control wasn't working either but we weren't going to watch T.V anyways. The only major problem was the toilet! It would not flush and we had to plunge the toilet each time we wanted to use it. So horrible! Aside from that, it was about a good 10-15 minute walk to the Santa Cruz Boardwalk so if you're just looking for a quick place to stay for a night to enjoy the area then maybe sure it'll be okay to stay here but if it's more than a day and you're picky then I suggest not. Maybe we just got a bad room, who knows.

My aim was to find the cheapest motel in Santa cruz & this was it. You get what you pay for, period.

Distance from the beach and downtown and the price are the reasons to stay here. The rooms were VERY VERY small. There was less than a foot between the end of our bed and the entertainment center that held the very old TV. With the little table, fridge and two chairs, there was barely even enough room to open the door. We had no problems with the staff and were comfortable enough staying there, though I think we'll pay a little more next time to be closer to the beach and in a little nicer room. We brought our 2 year old with us, and pretty much all he could do was jump on the bed the whole time we were in the room. The neighborhood was a little creepy. We had some guy come out of nowhere and practically walk into our room to try and sell us a pair of women's shoes. On the upside, though, we were walking distance to EVERYTHING! San Lorenzo Park, Down Town, The Beach, lots of great places to eat.
