unfortunately we caught them in the middle of room refurbishment which meant a room swap after arrival.. and sign noise from building a new hotel next door.. started at 7am and continued till late.. so while our stay was not the best this could be a good option in a few months!

The Morning Star hotel is in an excellent location. The staff were friendly. The breakfast was a little boring so we went out after the first couple of mornings to eat. The room was large with good quiet air conditioning, even though the room was facing the street the noise was not too disturbing. Would definately stay there next time we visit. They also have an excellent and cheap transfer service from the airport. We arranged this by emailing them.

Staff very helpful and speak english, breakfast was lite but nice, rooms are great with a good view of the lake on the upper floors would recommend using the hotel taxi service as it is cheaper and a lot better, location was great walking distance to a lot of very good resturants and close to a lot of shopping markets would recommend booking the Ha long bay tour through the hotel as you get a better boat and a great sea food meal...Would recommend and would stay again when next in Hanoi

Comfortable, new decorated, best location!!!! thank you Morning Star Hotel. The Staffs here are all friendly and help me so much, they orgnized excellent Halong bay trip for us, they show me where to go in Hanoi Old quarter. I hope to have a room available here next time. Good bye and see you Morning Star.
