Fabulous location and hot water for tea or coffee was readily available from the cafe near the foyer. Could be very noisy if you wanted to open the windows but great in winter.

A very clean, modern and well situated hotel (literally across the road from the main train station in Innsbruck). The only issue I could mention, and one common to many European hotels, is a lack of self-serve coin-operated laundry facilities. Other than, highly recommended and value for money.

The Monopol is hardly a 4star hotel. At first the location seemed great as it was right outside the main train station, however I soon realised that it was also right next to a nightclub so noise was a problem. The service at the reception desk was hardly in existance and we did not feel welcomed at all. The room was not too bad but the bathroom was old and lacked the things that a normal 4star hotel would provide (eg shampoo, toiletries). There was no business centre for access to the internet and no air conditioning in the rooms. Overall, I would rate this hotel a 3-star (and that's being generous).

There were no hooks for hanging wet towels in the bathroom.
