The rooms here are spacious - very high ceilings and plenty of room. Not the cheapest place in town, but everything was on par with the price.

Ordered room service dinner the first night. 1 hour later they called to say "the chicken salad doesn't look too good". The next night we ordered room service, and it never arrived... Noisy street could be heard on the 8th floor. No bathtub! Only a weird shower that sprayed water all over the floor. Very modern decor, but that was the only plus.

The room was clean and nice. It was in downtown Baltimore close to eateries that are open late night and near the water. I was fairly busy with work so I didn't get a chance to explore the hotel or its amenities much. The restaurant within the hotel is also nice.

Although the lobby is historic, all the rooms are new construction. Very tasteful appointments. Kimpton professes to be eco friendly, and indeed the minibar had organic offerings.

The decor of this repurposed historic building (formerly the headquarters of B&O Railroad) is fantastic -- deep jewel shades in the room with excellent fabric selections. Leather wallpaper and marble floors and walls in the bathroom. Very cool. Very friendly and helpful staff. Excellent food at the conference I attended and even more excellent food at the B&O Restaurant. With a special discount through Orbitz, who could go wrong?

I booked the Monaco only because my usual Baltimore hotel (The Hampton Inn just up the street) had no availability. The price was comparable to what I pay at the Hampton but because it wasn't a chain I was familiar with, I booked with a bit of trepidation. I was incredibly surprised and pleased with my experience here. Check-In was pleasant and efficient. I had read that by joining the Kimpton frequent guest program I could get free wireless, so I did that before arriving. When I advised the desk clerk that I had a membership number she immediately added a $10 mini-bar voucher for me to use. The hotel has a complimentary Wine Hour between 5 and 6 every day. A decent red, fair white and a sangria were on offer. I availed myself of a glass in the gorgeously appointed "living room" prior to heading up to my room. And the room! 12 foot ceilings, beautiful quality wall coverings, quietly tasteful artwork. The marble bath was stocked with Aveda products and plenty of high quality towels. (Not to mention the hotel's signature animal print bathrobes - 2 of which were in the closet along with fluffy matching socks.) The mini-bar had a fair selection of snacks and beverages. A 32 inch flat screen LED TV sat in the corner of the well appointed workstation (lots of easily accessible outlets for charging my devices) and a spacious work area to be productive. My eighth story room was quiet and the digital thermostat kept the room comfortable. The hotel restaurant was pricy but the food was imaginative and well done. Parking is valet only (for a cost, of course), which is my only issue with the hotel. The Monaco will definitely be my new Go-To hotel for my frequent trips to the Baltimore area.

We walked about and enjoyed Baltimore. Great location, very comfortable room. Cool old building. The only complaint is the very loud A/C unit.

We visited the National Aquarium. It was an excellent trip. We went out to Obrycki's Restaurant. I highly recommend going there if you love seafood. The hotel room was absolutely gorgeous. This hotel really caters to your needs. They were animal friendly as well. It was one of the best trips I've taken.

My son and I were searching for some late night delivery and the front desk offered an unbelievable pizza shop called Kristo's.

Friendly staff. Good location, within walking distance to Light Rail, Metro and a free downtown bus, call a Circulator. On a negative note, the HVAC (heating/AC) system was very noisy. We had to turn it off during the night.
