It's like staying on the other side of the ropes in a National Trust Stately Home! The environment was superb, the service unbeatable, York a glorious walk along the racecourse and the river Ouse - a perfect place to stay for our Anniversary. The food beggars belief - wonderful. Highly recommended.

Absolutely wonderful stay here. The hotel was lovely, the staff efficient and friendly. We took taxis to and from York (about £6 each way) and it was very convenient. The room was great.

This hotel is faultless, the staff are the most helpful people that I have dealt with, nothing is too much trouble. It was a real pleasure to stay there.
