My experience and stay at the Microtel Inn and Suites in Philadelphia was not a positive one. Unfortunately I woke up during the night with itching, the next morning I had red bumps on my body that looks like bug bites, the next day I had black and blue marks and also lumps, I'm still experiencing discomfort with swelling and itching. I think room 111 should be checked for bed bugs. Misfortune.

The hotel was perfect for the purpose of catching an early flight. The staff was super friendly and the complimentary breakfast was a delight that early in the morning. The noise level was as expected from a hotel so close to the airport. The room was great, clean, big bed, and comfortable.

We stayed here for the 2012 NHL Winter Classic hockey game. I could not believe how tiny the room was. My cubicle at work is larger. The lobby smelled like human urine as soon as we arrived. Our room smelled like human urine as well. Based on the stains in the room, I would believe that someone did use the corner as a bathroom. We were too grossed out to eat their breakfast. We went out everyday instead. You get the barest most basic possible ammenties that anyone could possibly afford. Everything was gross and dirty. Buyer be aware that you are going to get ripped off and not have a good experience.

The staff was helpful and nice, even to Really Old People Who Moved Like Glaciers. The location was good because Rt. 95 was easy to get to. They had free tea and coffee all day. The free breakfast included peanut butter. The room included a fridge and microwave for my Philly Cheese Steak. Hey, you wanna heated pool and concierge service, go pay for it. This place was fine for touristy stuff in Philly.

This was our second time staying there. The staff were very helpful and pleasant. Very close proximity to the airport and to the train station. Made for an easy commute into center city Philly.

This works as a place where you need to rest to or from PHL airport. The manager was solicitous and the shuttle drivers were very helpful. On the other hand, the rooms needs attention to lighting (the large fluorescent lights behind bed need to go) and upkeep of basic furnishings - several damaged/broken components were seen. For the most part, the cleanliness of the rooms were okay although, at one point, I did notice an odd smell from part of a carpet in a room. The location is convenient for reaching the airport and the shuttle hours enabled ready access between the hotel and airport.

For the price this was an excellent fit. Nothing fancy. We went to visit the historical sites and the location to it was very convenient. It did not have a resturant on site, there was only one place to eat in the immediate vicinity. Overall, pleased with the stay.

Over all the room is good but I really regret for the room that I get. Actually I prefer non-smoking room but the room that I received was smoking room. Since the smell make me really headache, I don't feel happy and satisfied with my saty. However, staff working there is nice and kind.

Terrible Hotel, looks great on the outside but awful on the inside. I upgraded to a suite and was very disappointed. There was no bed spread on the double bed, no silverware or dishes, TV is obsolete and the over all appearance was not acceptable. I would not recommend this hotel to no one. I will never stay there again.

Really lucked out to find inexpensive lodging with convenience of transportation to and from airport. Also conveniently located near transportation to Center City. Enjoyed suite w/kitchenette, most comfortable bed. Maid service could have been a bit more attentive. Van driver went the extra distance to access alternate transportation when train wasn't available for very early a.m. departure.

The room was dark and smelly. There was no iron board or iron, when I called the front desk to ask for one, the lady just told me "Well, you'll have to come down here and get it yourself!" with a rude tone. The bathroom sink and mirror was dirty and I had to put a towel down before I put any of my personal thing in the bathroom.

It wasn't a bad experience but probably not somewhere I would bring my wife and kids. I was comfortable there as an adult by myself, but not the best family atmosphere. Overall experience was just average.
