The staff was very nice and the room smelled good. The food was not the best, but the price matched the food quality. Over-all, we would stay there again!!

We reserved our room on September 22, 2011 for October 21, 2011. We drove down from Michigan. It had been a busy week prior to our vacation so we were very tired. Upon arrival at Microtel Inn a very unhappy receptionist told us that our reservations had been canceled. She asked if I had gotten a confirmation. I said yes I had it with me. She looked like she thought we were going to yell at her. I asked if I had been sent an Email to tell me that my reservation had been canceled. She said no that it had been canceled that day! I asked why. She said the Manager didn't think we were paying enough for the room so he canceled it. She said she had people show up at 11:00pm that had their reservations canceled. As it turned out we ended up paying more for the room and had to go through a bunch of telephone stuff with Orbiz to make sure that we didn't pay for the room twice. My husband talked to the manager the next day and he blamed Orbiz and said that he wasn't getting paid and that was why he didn't honor the reservation. The reservation was made a month earlier so I doubt that. We ask for an extra towel one day and he wouldn't give us one he said the housekeeper would bring new towels. Maybe he thought we would steal the plain white towel. Hmm. The room was clean. The carpet was all wrinkled. There was never very many people in staying there. The breakfast was slim pickins. To be honest the reservation thing just ruined it for us. We won't stay there ever again. The manager spent all his time on the phone and would go into another room to talk if we walked into the room he was in. It was awkward.

When we checked the room it was SMALL and it smelled TERRIBLE! The mildew smell was very strong. We requested another room but the clerk said he did not have another room at our rate. We never checked in. [...]

A very courteous and accomodating staff. The room was nice and cool as we walked in from a warm and humid outdoor climate. The room was very clean. I highly recommend! It is in a prime location off I-10 with restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. [...]
