I don't have enough superlatives for this hotel. The only thing lacking was a view, as my room faced an alley. However, nobody goes to New York City to spend time looking out a window. The location is insanely convenient, as it sits right behind the Winter Garden Theatre. Big room. Comfortable bed. Exceptionally friendly staff! I would suggest this hotel in a heartbeat!

The Michelangelo is the perfect boutique hotel in midtown and close to theaters, Central Park and my doctors office. Beautiful Lobby. The rooms are as advertised: spacious and well appointed. The staff was most helpful and well connected. I most enjoyed swimming at the athletic club across the street for an additional $15 per session....well worth it! We had some sumptuous breakfasts in the lobby. All in all, a great experience. My only critique is the 'continental breakfast' included in the price. As New Yorkers would say 'forget about it'! ....coffee and some nondescript rolls. Better to pay for a decent breakfast either in the lobby or down the street at this great Korean deli.

The staff at the Michelangelo were most inviting and accommodating to our leaving luggage, as we arrived from our train early - and later holding the luggage for a late departure. A wonderful upgrade to a junior suite was provided. All in our our second visit was as good as the first

We stayed at the Michelangelo for my 50th birthday. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room was clean, well appointed and a good size. The location is perfect if you want to walk to Times Square, the many theaters, Rockefeller Center or Radio City.

My new favorite place to stay in NYC. The room was huge for the price, bed was comfy, bathroom was just right. Staff was friendly and helpful. Complimentary continental breakfast was an unexpected treat. An easy walk to and from theater and upscale shopping.

We loved our stay at the Michelangelow. The lobby and our room were lovely, the staff was extremely helpful and friendly, and the location can't be beat if you want easy access to the theater, restaurants, Central Park and shopping. The complimentary morning coffee was recently moved from the lobby to the basement. Their printed information for guests in the room has not been updated yet and we couldn't find it on our first morning. We found it the next day, and the coffee and pastries were nice, but we would have preferred having the service in the mezzanine area where we could have enjoyed the ambiance of the hotel at the same time. Everything else was fantastic. We would definitely recommend it.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the Michelangelo. The location was perfect; I walked everywhere I wanted to go: two Broadway shows, Carnegie Hall, Steinway Hall, MOMA, and shopping on Fifth Avenue. The room was spacious and luxurious for the price. On Saturday afternoon, it was raining and I wasn't feeling well, so I stayed in my room and was comfortable -- almost like being in my own bed, but maybe better! The bed was divinely comfortable. The bathroom is nicely appointed with a large tub and with hot water immediately available. The staff were gracious, professional, and accommodating. When I first entered my room, it was obvious that the housekeeping staff had sprayed deodorizer which triggered some allergic reactions that night. I requested that they not deodorize the room for the rest of my stay. That was the end of the problem. When I went to the desk to check out, the doorman was there immediately to take my luggage. I said that I needed a taxi to LaGuardia and that I was going to get some breakfast. When I finished and went to the door the taxi was waiting. The turn-down service (at which time they also clean the bathroom again) and the excellent quality morning coffee with delicious pastries in the lobby lounge are nice touches. I will definitely stay there the next time I am in the city.

We loved this hotel because of its spacious and clean room, nice staffs, and LOCATION, etc. BUT on the second time, the room located in very rear, small, no tea table in the room, no pocket door in the middle of bathroom. We loved to have cocktail at the loundge, enjoyed shopping and many things, BUT we were VERY DISAPPOINTED AT BEING in that room.

My granddaughter and I stayed at the Michelangelo for just one night when we came to NYC from Boston to see Phantom. Their website accurately portrays the hotel's foyer and rooms, which, as advertised, are very Italianate in feel, but wonderfully so. We were upgraded to a suite, and it was extremely large, beautifully appointed, and (most important) clean. I have to mention the bed, which was absolutely heavenly, with a sumptuous mattress and pillows. I slept like a baby! The Majestic Theater is an easy walk from the hotel, and the staff were very helpful in giving us directions to the theater, as well as suggesting other possible activities/venues for our short stay. We had room service for dinner after the theater and breakfast the next morning, and the food was first-class. My hat's off to the chef! If I found anything wrong with this hotel, I would certainly want to pass it on to my fellow travelers. But I can't think of anything that was not to my liking---absolutely nothing.

My wife and I were in NYC for seven nights. The Michelangelo is located right in the heart of the City. We attended two Broadway shows, both within a short walk of the Hotel. The staff, from the bell hop to the front desk and to housekeeping were first rate. We upgraded our room to a junior suite and it was nicely appointed. The work out room is small, but efficiently adequate. Besides, you don't want to spend too much time in the basement when there is so much to do in the City. One suggestion: the bar was quite expensive. Less expenseiv beverages are found within a short walk of the hotel.

Well-managed attractive hotel - elegant, luxurious furnishings. Price includes breakfast coffee and croissants, available in lobby lounge. Rooms are large, comfortable, well-furnished. Bathroom supplies are high quality. Would definitely stay there again.
