This is the first time we have stayed at a hotel in an airport - what an awesome idea. The personnel were awesome. Dinner was excellent on the 7th Floor, highly recommend. The hotel is older and does need some maintenance. The tub was clogged and the toilet leaked when you flushed but I would have stayed anyway. Too convenient! I did hear a different price when someone was checking on the fly but then there was someone else that couldn't get a room so a reservation is the only way to go when doing a pit stop. Would do it again.

We have used cheaptickets before for many trips and many $s. Never have we been so disappointed with customer service as this time. Everything went from bad to worse. Firstly we tried to book a flight online from Manchester to Puerto Plata, using their chat help. The man helping us was trying his best to get us good deals and found a trip from manchester to miami, then another trip the following day from miami to puerto plata. We booked online but the system declined both requests due to system problems/upgrades going on. We spoke again on the chat help as the website was slow due to the advised upgrades. The man on the chat stated again that the best way to fly was the 2 trips. Manchester to Miami, then Miami to Puerto Plata the following day, as it was a good price even with the cost of a hotel. He now stated that one of the requests to book the flight had gone through, but not the second. I stated that we didn't need a trip from miami to puerto plata unless we could get to miami from manchester so we need the other half of the trip booking too, or cancelling. He tried to book the first half but now only 20 minutes later, and the tickets were no longer available!! He then stated to cancel the second half would cost $300. Despite the website DECLINING both! I asked if there was any other way to fix the situation and he suggesting trying Obtz as they are affiliates and work together. I tried obtz and sure enough the same tickets were there, same dates, same price. We booked and everything seemed fine. There was a change over in London between Manchester and Miami and only 1hr 40minutes between flights but we were assured this would be more than enough time. When we arrived in Manchester for our flight, it was delayed due to wind, this meant we arrived late to London and frustratingly missed our London flight to Miami by 15 minutes. British airways tried to help us and changed our flight to Miami for the following morning, but cheaptickets seemed unwilling to help in the same manner. Stuck in the airport i was trying desperately to speak to cheaptickets to change our hotel and miami - puerto plata flight for 24hrs later, as we would now be arriving in Miami a day later. Impossible. I spoke to CHEAPTICKETS 7 times, 4 managers, and 5 hours in total, all from my mobile whilst stuck in the airport. NOBODY would help or change the flight or even try to accomodate me in the airport. They advised me that because cheaptickets website was down when booking, and we booked half the tickets through obtz....at the customer services advice!! it wasnt covered in their responsibility even though it was the tickets with themselves that we were going to miss. I say this even though 2 advisors offered to change it for no charge but then hung up. They also refused to help us with a hotel. $350 worth of calls and nothing. In the end i called to book BRAND NEW tickets from miami for a day later, and within 5 minutes i had them. I was stuck in the airport, unclean, and with an amounting phone bill and it was my only option. I booked new tickets within minutes. Cheaptickets ultimately ended up costing me $600 for new tickets, $350 for a phone bill, $150 to book a hotel for the night in London, and a horrible experience. All on my Honeymoon. All of this was because of their own systems, and their OWN customer service advising us how to book. I am beyond disappointed. The only thing i can hope for now is that I still get the 4 call backs from managers that i was promised from the night in London. Doubtful. Im still currently on my trip, honeymoon i might add, and they have ruined the whole experience completely. The hotel itself, in Miami, spent an hour on the phone to Obtz to find our changed reservation, Obtz.... even though we booked with Cheaptickets, so it is the same after all? Eventually they found it and upgrade us when we produced our wedding certificate. The upgraded room was like a 2 star in the UK. But i guess you pay for location as

Excellent Location. Perfect if you are arriving late and need a place to spend the night and catch an early flight out the next day. Rooms are small but very comfortable. Perfect for a one night layover.

My mother had an overnight layover in miami and instead of complicating things by going outside the airport to a different hotel, she decided to stay on premises as in the past. She arrived at 11:30p, hotel and to her surprise, there was no reservation in the system. She waited until 1:30am! when the staff found it and she was able to go to her room. during that time, little to none communication was given to her.

Excellent hotel to stay at especially when in transit right at the airport it was great to get off the plane and into a really nice comfy bed for a well deserved sleep felt refreshed the next day for our continued journey
