Great hotel. Close to everthing in Melbourne. Well priced for someone on a budget. This hotel has its own cooking facilities. There is an IGA within short walking distance. Staff were very friendly. If you have a lot of luggage or a disability it might pay to let the hotel know as there are no lifts. Loved it, would definately stay there again if I am back in Melbourne.

Was great!Public transport close along with any thing & every thing at your finger tips.Although I must say if we were to stay there again, I'd get a room away from the showers, kitchen & toilet! As every body would slam the doors all night long into the wee hours of the morning, most annoying.

I booked a twin room whose price is cheaper than a backpacker. When I checked in, the room's condition was much better than I expect. They provided TV, air conditioner and fridge. Also, there were hand gel, shaving foam, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. The cleaner cleaned our room & changed towels everyday. The staff is so nice to us. The only disadvantage of this hotel is its location which is a little bit far from the centre. However, you can catch the tram 57 in the station near Miami. May you an enjoyed holiday! :)

we stayed 3nights, The walls in hotel are paper thin, you can hear guests in next room going to toilet and talking, there were loud young men in room next door. at 1pm I rang front desk, he came up and they quitened down around 2pm them started up again at 5am.We spoke to the manager who told then if they came back drunk & loud they would get kicked out. so next night it was reasonably quite we were so exhausted we slept. On our last night we had a 4.30 am wake up call but we didnt need it as our neighbours came home with a couple of girls yelling all the way down the hallway banging thier doors then having a loud argument in the room we told the nice young fellow on desk who had kicked the girls out. So our holiday in melbourne was ruined by having louts in next room. I think the hotel needs to make guests aware that they should walk down hallways quietly not bang doors and have respect for other guest who are trying to sleep

We stayed at the Miami for 6 nights. This is not a new hotel, but they are constantly refurbishing from what we saw. It's not the Ritz obviously, however the room was spotless and the stafff brilliant! We could not have asked for better. The Melbourne market is only a 5-10 min walk away, Melbourne central just a tram ride away. However, the best part about the hotel were the staff, very friendly and exceptionally helpful. This hotel is thoroughly recommended, and we will certainly be returning next year

Clean, comfortable and a good location all at a good price. We easily accomodated 2 adults and 2 children in the room. Rooms are basic but very clean and perfect if you are out and about all day and just need a place to sleep. Only downside was the very squeeky bunks which we notified reception of and they were arranging to have fixed. We would definately stay again.

Spent 3 nights.Room exceptionally clean, bed very comfortable, heaps of storage for clothes etc. Great shower. No detectable street noise.Good value breakfast.Located close to citybound tram, easy walk to Vic Markets. Staff super efficient, professional and friendly.Facilities terrific .Appreciated the microwave and toaster availability in the dining room, the internet kiosk, the guest laundry and especially the foxtel channels! Stairs a slight negative but had assistance with my luggage at checkin.I will happily recommend and return.

a bit disappointed, had booked on line for a double room for one person. when i arrived found booking for twin room for two? was upgraded to a double room for an extra $10 per night = $90 [ not happy about this] - [i am 6 foot two inches tall ] room i was given had a king size bed in a very small room.... only one chair not very comfortable. Room heat pump ! you have to ring service desk, to have it turned on - several times no answer. not very convenient . Shower floor slippery, needs a rubber mat, especially for older people like myself. light breakfast just average. school groups were very noisy so not all that impressed.

Spent 6 days here - great location. 2 mins walk from nearest tram stop (Tram #57 stop #11) - 10 mins walk to Victoria Market and only 10 mins walk from North Melbourne Railway station (very well served station). A great location to branch out from just using public transport (make sure you get a Myki card for daily caps on ticket costs). Local food outlets are great - or jump on the tram & see where you end up like we did. Taking the #57 tram towards Maribyrnong we jumped off at stop #25 Wellington St & discovered the Laksa King on Pin Oak Cres. There were two different school groups staying here while we were but the only time we saw or heard them was at breakfast. Heat pump in room can be controlled by a remote (deposit taken at reception) or just phone reception to change settings if you want. Room was clean - warm - quiet - walk in wardrobe for storage - TV in room - tea & coffee facilities in room + mini fridge (We turned this off at night - because the room was so quiet we could hear it humming quietly !!!). Staff were friendly - offering plenty of advice /suggestions on where to go. Building work in progress outside the dining room had no impact at all on our stay - other than a door from the dining room to outside being boarded up. Breakfast cost us extra $9 for a continental - but was well worth it - unlimited cereal, toast, juice & tea/coffee. They do cooked as well & the ones we saw coming out the kitchen looked good. Only thing that would have made it perfect was to have an iron & ironing board available to use in room - rather than in the TV lounge.

Great place in Melbourne to stay. The staff is great to help out with anything (booking, advices, other request). We are about 10 minute walk from the free bus that goes around town, and 15-20 minutes from the free tram that goes around town. Or we are at about 30 minutes walk from downtown and all the tourist attractions. Not so bad. The room is great, there is plenty of space, plus there is a fridge to keep our food if we want. We we 4 people in the room and it was spacious. For internet, we need to pay, and there are a couple of computers downstairs. If we need to, there is a kitchen available to make our own food.

Skybus transfer from the airport to the city and then to the door in a mini shuttle - too easy! Less than 5 minute walk from tram stops directly into town, 5 min walk to food and about 10min to victoria markets. Great location, clean and cheap with 24 hour reception. I stayed 2 nights in what was called a twin deluxe (I booked a queen but they were occupied). The room was on the small side but all I needed was a bed and when you put two singles zipped together you get a huge bed! Room was immaculate, bathroom the cleanest I've seen and the shower pressure was amazing. Down side limited clothes space (above the kitchen bench/kettle) . You cant fill the kettle from the tap as it doesnt fit so you have to use a cup to fill it. Seems to be a place for people who like to either get home at 5am or get up to go on day trips so bit noisy at 5am but then quiet again. I didnt hear any traffic noise or trams. Breakfast on site but a bit $$ for what you would get so I chose to not eat it there, plenty options nearby. I recommend the auction rooms coffee house about 12 minutes walk! Would definitely stay there again, possibly in the 2 bedroom family room with others too

Our stay was enjoyable and there were no hassles getting in and out of the hotel car park. It is conveniently located near the city with most things within easy reach. The only negative we had was the access to the rooms upstairs [ a bit difficult for the elderly and the disabled ]. We will definately stay there again. Thanks

I had a great 4 day stay at the Miami. It's a little bit out of town, but if you like walking it's prob a 30 min walk into town. It's 10 mins to the Vicotria markets, and there's plenty of tram stops near by to take you to the suburbs or into the city. The room was much better than I expected. Very clean. The bathroom was VERY clean. Better than some 5 star ghotels. I really like the walk in wardrobe next to the bathroom. was ncie to have the extra space. I also liked being able to open a window and hve some fresh air coming in. Now for the bad tuff. The doors don't block much noise, so you hear every door opening and closing and what ever people are saying in the hall way. You also hear everything from the room above you. On the qweekend this meant quite a bit of noise late at night and round 2am and again around 8am. Apart from that there's nothing bad to say about the hotel. the staff were always friendly and helpful. Tea and coffee making facilities in your room, including some milk. there's a kitchen type area on the 1st floor you can use. I ddin't check it out, but seems like you can do some basic food preparation in there. they also let you use the toaster in the main breakfast area after breakfast has been served.

The hotel is in walking distance of Etihad Stadium as well as the Victoria Market etc. Parking is available and while the room I stayed in was on the small side, it was sufficient for a short stay and the ensuite bathroom was very nice. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
