Uxmal Climate

Uxmal has a tropical climate that features two seasons, wet and dry. Annual temperatures are about 33°C. Depending on the time of the year, the weather is not only hot but humid as well. In January, the temperatures are about 18°C. The rainy season goes from the months of June through October and often monsoons develop. Also, easterly waves and tropical storms affect the area during this season.

Getting There & Around

Most travellers to Uxmal will fly into and stay in the city of Mérida. Here, the Manuel Crescencio Rejón International Airport offers daily non-stop services to major cities in Mexico, as well as locations in the US, which include Miami and Houston.

In and around the area, most will hire cars to reach the sites. Taxis are also used in the city, and the fare needs to be determined before taking the ride.
