Puerto Escondido Climate
With average annual temperatures of 82°F (28°C), the entire year is great for visiting. The rainy season occurs during the summer, and the average annual rainfall for the southwestern portion of Mexico ranges between 17 inches and 106 inches (432 mm to 2,692 mm). It is important to note while travelling through Oaxaca that the temperatures vary greatly depending on a location’s altitude.
Getting There & Around
Most flights arrive at Mexico City International Airport, where visitors then catch a flight to Puerto Escondido International Airport. There are taxis, vans and buses to get visitors to their accommodations from the airport.
Around town, visitors enjoy walking about and cycling. A hired car or bus is best to travel to other areas in Oaxaca. Motorcycles are another great way to traverse the coastline.
