Location
Set in the very heart of Cha-am Beach, overlooking the glorious Gulf of Old Siam, the Methavalai Hotel is only a 20 minutes drive from the Hua Hin Airport. Local attractions include Huai Sai Wildlife Breeding Centre, Puek-Tian and Mrigadayavan Palace.

The Methavalai is a very well executed hotel. We were very impressed with the room as well as the hotel facilities. The beach access was very close. Food in the restaurant was inexpensive compared to other hotels, yet still very good.

We found the hotel on the internet and booked it for 3 days. A little risky, but we were throughly impressed and had a great time. Fabulous pools, right across from the beach, massage places all over offering for half the price of ones in Bangkok. A real treat coming from the city and looking for a break. Alot of families were there, Thai and European some with little ones. We couldn't have done better and will go back if given the chance!

Bad system for paying at the poolbar,also for ordering drinks and food. It seems two ladies handwriting all bills and it takes too long time. First neers we orderd took 35 minutes.

Great service, we had a problem with our initial room and they moved us right away no hassles. Very nice place to stay.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the pool area was absolutely beautiful, and the rooms a good size. They did add service and tax to everything though, so the prices for meals and drinks was a bit steep, but the quality was excellent. Did not rate Cha Am much, too busy for us, but that is just a personal thing. Would certainly recommend Methavalai Hotel to anyone, and would go there again if we wanted somewhere within easy distance of Bangkok to relax for a few days.
