The staff was helpful and friendly and the room was comfortable. The breakfast wasn't really anything special, but it was included so that was good enough for me. The location is only a few blocks from a Metro so getting around the city is pretty easy. There is also an outdoor market a block away, not sure of the times but it is good way to experience the culture and find some inexpensive food. The hotel is also located some blocks from a number of bars so it is pretty close to some night life. Overall my stay at the hotel Mericourt was good.

Located around 5 minutes' walk from Republique, a 2 minutes' walk from Metro Station Oberkampf, the Metro is your key to going to all Paris' main attractions easily and cheaply. Rooms simple and clean, bathroom clean, shower in bathtub. Smallish but adequate towels. The hotel is quiet, clean. Breakfast is a pain au chocolat, croissant and pain with butter/jam, coffee, OJ, served by a very nice lady of African origin. Free WiFi. Elevator to all floors. Will stay again.

A typical little Parisienne Hotel. Very welcoming staff, small but comfortable rooms, continental breakfast with tea, coffee or hot chocolate was a nice extra. On a quiet street, but close to restaurants and metro services - one of our rooms was on the first floor at the front, but traffic noise was not a problem. Would happily stay there again.

Only for very budget minded travelers. Old, out of the way, but near metro stop. Would not book again.

Traditional family run hotel. Slightly tatty in some respects but welcoming and friendly.

Mericourt Hotel Paris is a simple Parisien hotel, in a great location. The room was a double room. Not the most spacious, but we were'nt crammed. The bathroom and windows were a bit dirty. The hotel is just off Rue Oberkampf. It's a small typical street with a supermarket just nearby, wine shops, restaurants, boulangerie, fromagerie. 3 minutes walk from Metro Oberkampf, which will get you to anywhere in the city you need to go.

An excellent tourist hotel, ideally situated to access the majority of interesting sites in Paris. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was fresh and sufficient to start a busy day siteseeing. I was very pleased that there were lots of bars and restaurants within a very short walk, and the area is safe to wander around at night. There are 3 Metro stations a short walk away, and I would recommend buying a day pass at 5 Euros if travelling around a lot. My wife and I were very pleased with hotel, so much so that we are going to stay there again for my birthday in May, god willing. If you are going to see Paris, may I suggest a visit to the Catacombs? It is somewhat macabre but right opposite the Metro station and at 7 Euro, very good value! Anyway, back to the hotel, take a tip from me and stay at the Mericourt, you will not be disapppointed. p.s., the photos are exactly what the hotel and rooms are like.

Very calm and clean room, friendly hotel staff, where you feel at ease for your stay in Paris. Rooms are a bit small, especially the desk is small for a business traveller to work on. I would come back to the same hotel for my next stay in Paris. Close to subway stations, the centre of Paris is even within walking distance (half an hour).
