Extremely happy, customer service is excellent, walking distance to CBD and the rate is very good. Large room, clean and comfortable. Only grouse is limited parking space, although I managed to find one at the limited parking space but I guess a lot of guests will be dissappointed.

This hotel is a short walk from the downtown, which is full of attractions, shopping, dining and entertainment.

The price our first night was and awesome value for the money. But the following night was a Friday, and one night before the city hosted a quarter final game for the RWC, and it was over $120 more. The room was fine. Not amazing, but not bad either. The location is good for walking into the city and the staff was friendly. Our reservation threw Orbitz wasn't handled correctly, so we had to wait for over 20 minutes when we were checking in around 2 am. Our ferry from the South Island was delayed and it would have been nice to slip right into our room. Mistakes happen, but a different handling of the situation could have led to this review being filled with praise for the wonderful staff. Most mistakes in customer service are just disguised opportunities, and this one was missed. We got a small if un9feeling apology at the end, but that was it. Again, this hotel isn't bad. Nothing is wrong with it - apart from aging rooms and unimpressive bathrooms - but it isn't anything special either.
