I travelled to Townsville for professional development so i chose the hotel closest the venue where this was being held. the hotel is about $15 taxi fare from airport, 15mins bus ride to the city centre mall, 5mins walk to closest shopping centre, is surrounded by many fast food outlets, sizzler, Chinese restaurants. i had seen some really bad reviews for this hotel so i was apprehensive but my stay was very enjoyable, the staff were helpful and the maids that cleaned the room did a lovely job. I would love to go back to Townsville and i would stay here again.

Basic hotel. Rooms recently renovated but some features ( table and chair) still older. Fair bit of noise from other guests walking past room. Good location away from busier areas but not good if you want to be near beach. Very clean and well maintained. We had a quick one night stay - perfect for that.

We stayed here again on our return trip home. Our allocated room was very disappointing in relation to the room we had on our first stay. We assumed that the room allocated on our first stay was the room that we had booked. Upon questioning the reception staff I was informed that our first room was a complimentary upgrade, which I was not informed about when we checked in on our first visit. I was advised that I could upgrade to the room we had on our first stay but would have to pay the difference. After expressing my views about this and not being told our first room was an upgrade I was given another complimentary upgrade. It appears that you get a complimentary upgrade on your first visit and not be told about it just to "suck" you in to staying again. Future guests please beware of this. This incident did not start our return stay off very well at all. We will certaintly take this event into account when we visit Townsville again.

Fantastic hotel. You would think that you were staying at a resort. Beautiful surroundings and excellent accommodation. A bit pricey for meals at the restaurant however there are plently food outlets within walking distance. Highly recommend this hotel.
