A good location spoilt by lack of air-conditioning and a person behind the desk who was curt and appeared to be not interested in the customer.

A good hotel and location within walking distance of main areas. Breakfast good, too. One major problem though, it was 37 degrees celcius the day we were there and none of the rooms had air conditioning that worked. The room had a small fan that did a good job of circulating the hot air!

Big room, comfy bed. Old but clean. Free parking. Staff were nice but didnt seem to speak much english. Big restaurant but not open Sundays, in fact most things in the city not open Sundays only stores that sell tourist things which open approx midday. Good location for sites, 10 minute walk to Mozart's house and shopping district. Free internet in lobby....if you can get on it! Would be nice if they posted a sign about a time limit...

The hotel is walking distance from the train station, but in the opposite direction of most sights. It is within walking distance of the old town, but it is a bit of a hike and too far away if you are not a walker or if you are already worn out from your travels. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Lobby area was clean and nice, but rooms were a little worn and not what I expected from a Mercure. We were on a non-smoking floor, which was nice for those in our party that are sensitive to smoke.

The staff at this hotel were extremely obliging and went out of their way to assist. Also, the food in the hotel restaurant was excellent.

Nice hotel in a quiet part of Salzburg. Little too far from the old town centre, but if you like walking, then this place is ideal.

Restaurant menu needs regular rotation. Two nights with the same menu is about enough. We dined elsewhere on the third night. We had warm weather and felt that airconditioning is needed to improve the comfort of guests. Restaurant and lobby are the only airconditioned areas.

Breakfast was great. Way too much choice for me. Bed was a bit short and the showerhead a bit low for a tall guy. Overall, no complaints.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mercure. The service was great, you just need to ask. Breakfast was enough to last you all day! Is about a 10 to 15 min walk to Old Town but a nice walk. Highly recommend.

The furniture in the rooms is old and in unpleasant colours, much more expected from a 4 star hotel.

Attention to detail was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for the delightful staff at the Mercure Hotel Salzburg. Food was excellent and of a high standard, we ate our evening meal in the restraurant every evening, and it was a bonus to have a hot buffet breakfast not just continental. I would recommend this hotel over and over again.
