We had a very relaxing stay. Handy to the city and on the way to the airport next day, so ideal location. Parking available, room and meals great. To top it all very economical rates.

Great staff even if thier uniforms could do with a dry-clean. The room I had was looking very tired and was definitely in need a major renovation. Painted tiles in the bathroom can look good for about 5 minutes but then chip and scratch. Not a good look. Another 75 and I could have been in the Hilton. Next time definitely not again

Good location but rooms appear to be in the throes of refubishment. The bathroom needs to be completed asap yet the room was spacious and the bed very comfortable. However the layout of the room left something to be desired and the lack of a safe in the room surprised me in view of the price we paid. Well stocked mini bar with plenty of tea, coffee and milk which we welcomed. Some noise from the street as well. Forget the restaurant. It was bizarre. Tables not set up and staff disinterested. Food very ordinary. Left a lot to be desired. Given the room rate this was a real disappointment but it will be great when the rooms are finished and they get new staff in the restaurant. Onsite parking (at cost) and close proximity to trams is good though.

Staff extremely rude! They need to find another career... No help in anything we asked and felt that we were asking to much when all we needed was finding our way around. Got thrown a map. Appauling service. Best thing of the whole weekend was the king bed (AWESOME) but other than that, will NEVER stay in Rydges North Melbourne. We are priority members but will never go again.... Shame left our toothbrush there, called them and after a week got it sent back to us with a fee of $14.95 could buy a packet of them for that! Thanks for the Service!

The staff were very obliging and pleasant . The meals were excellent. The room spacious and well equipped withe the exception of the airconditioner which only blew cold air resulting in me catching bronchitis on our last day which made it difficult to drive home. Hope you can fix this on our next visit

The hotel itself was in a good location and easy access to wherever you wanted to go in the CBD. The room was just perfect but unfortunatel. The shower was not constantly hot and I had to adjust it many times. I understand it's currently installing new carpet but the old carpet detracted from the hotel somewhat. Overall, once everything has been completed the hotel is excellent for location and price.

Not really comparable to similar type of hotels I stayed in terms of rate. Expensive. Carpet needs upgrading/room locker be provided.Room does not necessarily give a true account of what it is displayed as.I had to request to physically see if I was put in a room for which I had paid for. Generally friendly staff.Charged for a call that I never made!!It should have been resolved;hopefully.

The staff on the desk seemed disinterested, and in one case incompetent I am not given to criticism as I am a frequent traveler take the good with the bad., I was also unimpressed that the hotel charges a surcharge for using all credit cards..most annoying the first time this has happened to me apart from AMEX.. overall an ordinary stay

On the plus side: The best hotel within its price range. The bed was comfortable. The sheets and the towels were immaculately clean - just what we required. The staff were friendly. Parking is secure. Can't complain about the beautiful buffet breakfast. On the minus side: The lift is quite small similar to the lifts in Europe. The carpets throughout the hotel looked like water damaged from a flood. It is quite bad and needs refurbishing. I wouldn't walk on it barefooted in the fear that I might develop a fungi infection. Looks like something is growing in it! The location is not in the city centre (which worked well for us). Tram is just across the street. Good walking distance to hospital, shopping, parks. When booking, check if breakfast and parking are included in the rate to help you compare prices.

The good thing was the room size and restaurant, there is not food available around the hotel, but doesn't matter because the food at the hotel was good. Internet and phone calls pricey.

Reception was good but the directions from the car park to the room could have been clearer. We used all the stairs to the second floor as there was not an illuminated sign for the lift. We found the lift from the plan on the door. The location was fine for our purpose and we would stay again. Mervynne Dunstan

There was no elcetricity for over 6 hours and it was painstaking as no power back up was provided by the hotel. An overall disappointing experience. The hotel is definetly overprized for its facilities.
