Mercure Metropol Hotel Budapest Guest Reviews
Suosittelen!

My room was cool. Extremely small & not appealing in decor or comfort. Stingy on amenities & no extras. No smoking rooms just means the ashtray is removed, the smell lingers. Could not get extra towels, even after refusing daily room cleaning. Front desk not very cordial nor helpful, nor grateful for your business. Certainly not what I would rate 4 star, but conveniently located for tourist activities.

Close to the subway, good exchange rates, most staff were excellent. We stayed 5 days and booked back in for our next stay. The restaurant is good and there are several casual restaurants nearby. Excellent restaurants (pricey) are just around the corner.

We stayed in the Junior Suite - very spacious and well-appointed and the bed VERY comfortable, although the sofa bed was quite hard. Staff were extremely helpful, friendly and efficient. There were buses almost outside the door and the metro and trams a short walk from the hotel, so access to all the sites within reach. However, a bit far to walk and felt removed from the City Centre. We bought a 72-hour Budapest card which allowed unlimited access to public transport and some free or reduced access to museums etc. so getting around was easy. We would stay at this hotel again but might consider closer to the City Centre next trip.

Good location, close to both metro & mainline station. Staff quite helpful & friendly. Expected more from the price of the room, but other things more than made up for it. Overall a pleasant stay.
