Renovation has worked for the hotel as the room was great. No city view from the 2nd floor though.

I arrived early morning after a nightflight from Hong Kong but they had rooms available and gave me one straight away. This seldom happens in Australia even if they have rooms free. They mostly say:check-in time is 2 PM. You can leave your suitcase here. Rooms are clean and comfy, restaurant is ok for a snack or drinks and very freindly staff there and behind reception. I will come back....

Booked this room for a friend and she left an expensive diamond ring in the room when she checked out. A week later, she realised so I called the hotel. To my surprise, housekeeping found it and had it there awaiting my pick up. Cheers to an honest hard working team.

I was happy there for my 5 days so have rebooked for next week for another 5 days so i must of been happy. Value for money but not the Ritz.

Nice,friendly,comfortable hotel,very quiet,only down fall was the two beds joined together to make a king,husband wasnt happy with the lumpy join in the middle
