Mercure Kapuzinerberg Hotel Salzburg
4 out of 5

The hotel & price were great, the only problem was the location. If you don't have problems with using the Bus then this is one of the best (or the best) options you have to pay something cheap and great.

A good hotel with friendly staf but just not central location and initially a confusing city to get around. Be aware the city rolls up the streets early.

Not close to anything but fairly accessible. The room was dated but a super size. I am a bit annoyed by places advertising facilities but then they are out of order. Here the sauna didn't work. The staff werre very helpful at the desk.

Bizarre that you never see anyone when you check in or out. The hotel presented no issues for us so maybe it doesn't matter....

Nothing much to say. Expensive, all extra charged like breakfast and Internet, which today should be included in the room rate. Next time in Salzburg we will definitely choose another hotel and not from Raccor gropup.

Excellent Price/Quality equation, you definitely get more than what you pay. The service is excellent, and the food is really good. We went to different hotels of the same range of prices (around 100$/night) in several countries (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, France and Lichtenstein) and this one was the best.

An excellent modern hotel with very helpful English-speaking staff. A level 15 minutes walk from the city centre. Only 12 euros by taxi to/from airport. Big breakfast with lots of choice, even fried eggs on request.

We were very satisfied with this hotel. Although about 20 minutes walk to the old city there was a convenient trolley bus which we used several times. The breakfast was very good and kept us going for most of the day. We ate in the restuarant at the hotel on three evenings and found those meals satisfactory. I would definitely stay there again if I was to go back to Salzburg and I would recommend it to anyone going there.

The only downside was the (lack of a) view from our window but this was a small price to pay for the hotel's convenient location. Comfortable hotel, excellent breakfast, very courteous staff, good location.

Only one disappointment from the hotel and that was the service for of our room - the complimentary room items were not refreshed daily i.e. tea, coffee, sugar, milk, soap etc - we had to ring down a couple of times for soap and toilet paper. Also for a 5 night stay, we would have expected at least one linen change for that standard of hotel. Apart from that, Reception and breakfast staff and breakfast itself were excellent.

Very good quality hotel for the price offered. Good, clean and quiet rooms. The breakfast in the morning was excellent! Only thing - it could be a bit closer to the old town - takes ~15min by foot. With car no problem.

The hotel was excellent value for money and the breakfast was fantastic. It was very quiet and ideally situated to walk into the centre. The only slight weakness is the lack of a cosy bar area.

The location next to a petrol station was a bit of a put off. The cleaning service could be more careful about refilling toiletries, especially with the new flight norms. People are avoiding taking shampoo etc. so when one goes to take a shower in the evening and finds out that only the worst universal gel is available because the cleaning sevice has not replenished the proper toiletries, that is annoying. And if it says non-smoking on all of the room doors on one floor, where in the world was all that cigarette smoke coming from?

Good hotel, competitively priced and conveniently located within 20 minutes walk of the Old Town and only a short, easy drive from the airport. Staff were very helpful (especially in arranging a hire car) and friendly. The food was excellent and the sauna and steam room very welcome after a day's exploring!

The reception staff were very courteous and helpful to us, especially in giving directions, however the restaurant staff were quite rude. The rooms were great, a lovely location, close to a bus stop, though so close to the main city that public transportation was not needed.

I found the Dorint Hotel Salzburg exactly corresponding to the description in the net. The service is excellent but knowledge of English could be better.

It is a 15 minute walk away from downtown. Breakfast buffet is excellent, staff is nice and helpful. Standard rooms have no A/C.
