Mercure Hull West Hotel Guest Reviews
The service was excellent but the restaurant was over priced for the quality of food served. Other than that a very good base, and dog friendly.

I've stayed here on several occasions, most recently in Jan 2006. I shall not be returning again. The main reception area and bar are clean and bright but upstairs the rest of the hotel is shabby and in need of refurbishment. Corridors are scruffy with, for example, graffitti on the wallpaper by the lift. The decor in the bedroom was better but the bed was uncomfortale because the springs had gone. Even the towels in the bathroom were well past their best.

I knew this hotel many years ago when we lived nearby. Its rural position has changed by development of offices and other commercial premises close by but it retains pleasant grounds. The recent additions of conference facilities, reception , leisure and restaurant are of a high standard. The older public parts of the hotel are tired but there seemed to be some upgrading in hand. The room was very good. The food in the restaurant was excellent. We will stay again. Garry Johnson
