Mercure Hotel Kaiserhof Frankfurt City Center

the rooms are to small, one hardly can get into the bathroom, price for first night was acceptable, but we were charged 3 times as much for the same room on the second night quite over the top for such a small place

This is conveniently located 200 m or so from the main rail station. The downside of this is the groups of drunks, drug addicts and other mad people who seem to hang around European rail stations. The hotel really has no facilities apart from an expensive breakfast and a coffee vending machine. Worst was that there is no aircon except in reception and with 25-30° and 80% this meant is was uncomfortable. The "internet" consisted of one computer that didn't work and which no attempt was made to fix in 3 days. The carpets did not appear ever to have been cleaned. The room was OK, adequate in size, and comfortable beds. The card key entry was screwed up 3 times for us, and allowed someone else to access our room, while we were in it. I would not stay here again, except possibly for one night in winter.

Good location near the railway - walking distance, so no need for taxi to and from trains. Fairly close to Old Town so walking to sight-see is easy. Very friendly and helpful staff at reception. Would definitely stay there again if in Frankfurt in the future.

great location, approx 5-10 mins walk from the xmas markets!, no bar in hotel and room was very basic but spotlessly clean, the staff were very friendly. if i was staying there again i would ask for a suite room in the newer part of the hotel, they are much bigger than the ones in the older part.

This is a clean, no-frills hotel, very conveniently situated about three minutes' walk from the Hauptbahnhof. Reception staff are friendly and helpful, and the buffet breakfast is reasonably good. Recommended!

The location was good as it was only a minute walk to Frankfurt Hauptbahnhof and easy walking distance to pubs/cafes etc. Buffet breakfast was great. Only negatives are that if the temperature is hot, there is no air con and the windows open to busy nightlife below. There is also no mini fridge or kettle/coffee/tea making facilities.

Located near train station in red light district, however the hotel was quiet and safe with 24 hour reception. On street parking is available in front of the hotel (free on weekends) and a car park is available at the train station for a reduced rate. The room was pleasant and clean. Breakfast was good. Service was good. Price through AccomLine was very reasonable.

This area near the main railway station is often described as "sleazy" due to strip clubs and sex shops all around the place. But we were not bothered by anyone, and the hotel itself is very clean, we had a good sized room, air conditioned, good bathroom and an excellent breakfast. The location is very handy to everything and they let us check-in at 7AM for no charge when we arrived from the airport. Recommended.

Excellent service in newly established rooms and foyer. Breakfast was terrific and the people at the desk were always prepared to help in any way especially Solan.

According to the website when we did our booking the room would be ready at 8am. When we tried to book in just after 12noon we were asked to wait another hour as they had no rooms ready. But after this we were warmly treated and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. The breakfast was good and the room large, clean and comfortable - exactly what we were looking for.

Hotel is near the main railway station, although it can take some time finding if you are new to Frankfurt. Rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast area has a good choice available, based on a continental breakfast.

Very convenient location, only a few minutes from Central station. Although it seems to be in the red light district of Frankfurt, we felt quite safe there. Very clean hotel.
