This hotel was good value for money. Central location & under cover parking for rental car. It had good bed, table & chairs & outside balcony for some fresh air.

The reception staff were our highlight - welcoming, professional and helpful - we could not fault them. They even surprised my husband with a bed covered with balloons wishing him happy birthday when they learned it was his birthday and our reason for our trip to Hobart. What is most apparent about this hotel is that is on its way to being something special. There is evidence of effort being made to upgrade the hotel rooms, and while there are still the finishing touches needing to be done - there is nothing but credit to be given where it is due - with a nice new showerhead, clean bathrooms, comfortable bed and room. Once the door frames (which were quite chipped), are painted and the bathroom given a bit more of an update - the hotel will have hit the high note! I would however recommend asking for a room that faces away from Bathurst Street, as the tour buses starting their engines up at 7am in the morning out the front, and the general traffic noise is not the best to wake up to. All in all - a great place to stay - not too far away from the city centre and accessible to all the car rental places nearby - which was very convenient.

Room was ample for our needs, just lacked some pizazz. We did not enjoy breakfast but the friendly staff made for an overall pleasant experience.

Booked in early and upgraded. This is an older hotel but is clean with good facilities. Staff were particularly helpful. Corridors can be noisy but we struck a busy night. Would stay again.
