Lovely older style building just out of the main part of town. Easy walking distance to the Octagon. Bit noisy on Friday night but in a city one might expect and indeed want just that. Enjoyed the bath.

Was originally allocated a small (almost) windowless internal room. But on complaint, staff were very helpful in reallocating us to a much more light-filled room, even if not bigger -- despite a very full house.

We enjoyed our stay at the Mecure in Dunedin. We had opted for a superior room as I had seen previous reviews that said the standard rooms were quite small. Our superior room was spacious and clean and had one of the most comfortable king size beds that we have ever slept in. Unfortunatley opposite our room on the side street was the "Musicians Club" which played terribly loud music into the wee small hours of the night which put dampner on our stay and reduced the overall rating that we gave this hotel.

This hotel was older but still modern inside. Our room was on the 4th floor. However, once you reached the 4th floor you had to walk down a set of stairs to get to the room. This was difficult with suitcases etc. Our room did not have a window you could see out of which made the room dark and gloomy. We ended up parking on street to avoid the valet fees.
