Location
Mercure Gold Coast Resort is set on Palm Meadows Drive, nine and a half kilometres from Southport Airport. Vacationers can interact with kangaroos and watch bird shows at Currumbin Sanctuary after playing 18 holes at Palm Meadows Golf Course.

Lovely culture amongst the staff and decent breakfast buffet. There is a 10km run nearby going a lake subdivision, rural parts and mostly bicycle track.

We tried this hotel for the first time and are pleasantly surprised by the courteous hotel staff and great service. The driver Andrew who drives the hotel shuttle that runs between the hotel and various spots is exceptional. Not only he is friendly and punctual, he makes extra effort in pointing out interesting places to the passengers and shares the local insights of the area. He makes the passengers feel not only welcome but are like friends! Truly a memorable trip.

Not usually my type of hotel. Good for families. Fantastic staff. A bit out of the way especially of you want to get close to the beach. I usually look for hotels with no kids policy. Oh, I don't play golf either.
