Mercure Altrincham Bowdon Hotel is in the upmarket Manchester suburbs close to Trafford Park, the M56 and the M6 motorways. Manchester Cathedral, the Town Hall and the modern Urbis building are in the heart of the city near the Arndale shopping centre.

Mercure Altrincham Bowdon Hotel Guest Reviews
The hotel was advertised with spa baths in every room but this turned out not to be true. They also had insufficient hot water to run a bath in the evening or to take a shower in the morning. This is not acceptable in this day and age.

Once away from the public areas, the furnishings are in a pretty poor condition. I would describe the first room we were given as a shabby shoe box. I know that better accommodation is available for less money in the same locality. The staff did their best in the situation. They moved us to one of their better rooms. There the mattress springs were prominent and an extractor fan was on all night and could not be turned off. In summary - not recommended!
