Don't expect to travel to the city from here. it is in the middle of nowhere. Literally it is located in a forest. However, Tegel is a short 5 min ride away so it is good for that. The shower was not working in my room. Room rate was pretty decent about $90. I would NOT stay there again because the location is depressing. I also read that Tegel airport is being moved/shut down in 2012?

The hotel location is great its right next to the airport and the free shuttle is very good.

We got a Double on the top floor and stayed one night. Positive: Spacious room, can open window, contemporary furnished, breakfast buffet included in 69 E per night rate, restaurant has outdoor tables. Friendly staff. Free shuttle from Tegel-Airport until 11pm. (From Tegel bus into city; 2.10 E; takes 20min) Negative: Noisy road behind hotel (which you don't hear if windows are closed), no AC in elevator, 1 E per person for shuttle back to Airport.

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in September during the Oktoberfest period. The price for single room was higher than normal although it is located in Berlin and not in Munich. The location is perfect for someone who wants to be close to the airport with a few minutes drive away and a complimentary shuttle bus by the hotel. The town center is not far but you have to change to a bus and a train to get there. The rooms were spacious and very clean and the breakfast excellent. The staff were very helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.
