I was here for a short 2 night stay. The hotel is well situated - very close to Plaza Mayor and nearly next door to the palace. Off a small road, rooms are very clean with satellite tv. Wi-fi only in the lobby. Great airport shuttle service.

The Meninas was VERY well located, a great place to eat literally across the street (Va Ca Ba Co from memory). The staff were extrememly helpful, in particular the young girl with wavy / curly hair - she was fantastic!! Our room was completely modern within, which also meant it was super clean. The room was a little small to be able to fit our luggage, but this was easily outweighed by the location and complimentary items such as free internet (we are not travelling with a laptop, so wi fi was of no help). Would stay here again most definitely and would recommend to others. Note: I think the hotel might be located above a station, we were on the 3rd floor and only felt a slight tremour when in the bathroom. Perhaps if on levels 1 and 2, it might be stronger and perhaps annoying? Just something to consider.

A very friendly and well-kept establishment in argueably the most interesting part of Madrid. The front desk staff is perhaps not the most competent, but their enthusiasm and friendliness help a lot! Very good breakfast which is not excessively expensive compared to other big-city hotels. Room a bit cramped. In sum more like a good three star than a four star hotel.
