The Casino was closed for renovations as was the main pool. Our room was in the far wing and the elevator on that side was out of order. It was a long walk to get to the front. Most staff were excellent except for the front desk people who were not very helpful.

Hotel was located in great area of Cable Beach however the facilities were a far cry from what I would have expected from a Sheraton Resort. The room, while updated with flat panel TV and newer furnishings, the carpeting was worn and bathroom was greatly outdated; to the degree that I would have expected from a 1970's beach resort. The pool area was nice with lots of room and a large amount of beach front however was fairly sparse with activity. I honestly spent more time at the pool/pool side bar at the hotel next door. While I was mainly there for a quick stopover, I did attempt to visit the advertised on premise casino only to find a sign posted stating that the table games wouldn't reopen until Thursday night (my stay over was on a Tuesday). Really had difficult time comprehending the hotel advertising and promoting a casino only to have half of it closed for most of the week. After all this, ended up at Atlantis down road for nightlife, etc. Would have difficult time recommending this hotel to a friend

Very good stay. Perfect location and very good quality for the price of the hotel. Great beach and lots of things to do outside on the private beach.

We just got back from a 5-night stay at Sheraton Nassau on Cable Beach. We would rate it 5 stars on location, 4 stars on service and nice staff, 3 stars on appearance and condition of hotel, 2 stars for the lack of a fridge in the room, 3.5 stars on the gym (would have been 4.5 stars if 30% of cardio equipments were not out of order), and 3 stars for food at Amici Restaurant. Overall impression is 3.5 stars. First to get out of the way, I wanted to give other travellers to the Bahamas a headsup on the taxi fare since I did not see anyone post about this on the internet before we took off on our trip. We got to the airport and saw a sign posted that taxi to Cable Beach was $18. We got on one of the taxis, and she said the fare was only for 2 people, additional passengers and bags are extra. We had 4 people in our group, 3 suitcases, 4 carry-ons, and a few personal items like a bag of water bottles we bought at airport, and my son was carrying a very small lunchbox with him. The driver would not tell us how much we'd owe her, and off she went. When we got to the hotel, she told us the total was $34. We were too tired to argue with her and paid. It was late and we had been travelling all day from LA. Later in the day time the next day, I saw a sign in front of the hotel regarding taxi fare. Base flat fare includes 2 passengers AND 2 bags/suitcases are as follows: To / from airport $18 To / from Atlantis $20 + $1 toll bridge fee (There are other fares to other places, but I did not pay attention since we did not go there, but if you stay at Sheraton, all the fares are listed on this board very clearly for you to review before you get on the taxi.) $3 for each additional passenger in excess of the 2 allowed $1 for each additional regular suitcase in excess of the 2 allowed $0.75 for each additional small suitcase On the way back, I packed one of the carry-on, and lunch box inside a large suitcase, and minimized our total bags to just 3 suitcases, and 3 carry-ons. So our total taxi fare to the airport became $27.25. I wrote everything down on a piece of paper, and showed the total to the driver before we got in. The driver did not like it, but the bellhop from the hotel helped confirm that our calculation was correct, so the driver agreed to the total. Anyway I thought I would spell this myth on the taxi fare out for everyone to see since I had a hard time figuring out what we were being charged for, and there was no web site that they published this. Now with that out of the way, back to the hotel. Our room was a regular room with partial ocean view. It was Room 422. The condition of the room itself was ok, not perfect. The AC was working and it was cold, but you could adjust the temp down if it got too cold. We asked for 2 double beds. This is the equivalence of full size beds in the US, so for 2 people on each bed, it was a little challenging if one or both people love to move around in bed during sleep, but it was do-able for the 5 nights we were there. The kids were worried about bedbugs since they watched too much tv, and they saw some stain on the cover of their bed. I called Guest Service and asked for a new cover. We waited 10 minutes for them to come with a new cover but when no one came, I put down the cover to be replaced on the floor thinking they would just come in and replace the cover for us while we went out to eat at the Thai restaurant next door to the hotel that night (first night that we arrived). When we came back, the dirty cover was still there, so I called Guest Service back, and asked for status of the new cover. Someone showed up within 5 minutes of my call, and brought 2 new comforters (not the cover), and 1 blanket. I gave the gentleman the dirty cover without complaint that we did not ask for a new comforter. During our stay, we called Guest Service for a few more things, and we got prompt services. 4 stars. Someone posted that the water costs $5 in the room, but this is incorrect. The resort prov

Hotel, beach, and pools are all beautiful! Staff were polite and friendly and rooms were comfortable and quiet. My only criticism is that food and drink in the hotel bars and restaurants is EXCESSIVELY expensive! I expect to pay a bit more in a resort, but these prices were exorbitant, so plan to eat and drink elsewhere.

I was really impressed with the quality of the hotel - it was a great value for the price I paid. Cable Beach is bit removed from downtown and Paradise Island, but I liked the convenience of having a grocery store within walking distance (which I highly recommend utilizing, as the prices in Nassau are very much inflated.) And with the money you save on the hotel, you can put towards water sports and excursions. I walked along Cable Beach and from the outside, clearly the Sheraton was the in the best shape. The pools as well as the beach were clean and beautiful. The other hotels along the strip appeared to be out-dated. The hotel service was great too (but given that there is a $40/day gratuity charged, you better get great service.) I would definitely stay here again.

Waited an hour on line to check in as group 4 magically morphed into 30 in front of us. 1 person in front of us and my GF and I behind them . The front desk person could of at least asked them if he could quickly take care of the two people behind them so they could have his undivided attention. At the end of the check in for the 30 there was still only two people behind this group. Thus after finally checking in the hour later and showering, all the restaurants were closed. Dissapointed! The best thing was the view from the room, which we received for waiting in line.

Room lacked a microwave, mini bar and refrigerator. Would have had to pay $10.00 per day if we wanted a refrigerator brought up to the room. In all my trips to the Bahamas (10), every room was always provided these 3 amenities as standard. We were also charged a $160.00 extra for an Ocean View Room, this upset us since the hotel was nearly empty. Bathroom drain appeared to be backed up, water drained very, very slow. One of the nights, we paid $28.00 each for the evening buffet in the hotel and there ended up being an extremely limited choice with very few items to select from. Hotel needs a deli on the premises that stays open for sandwiches or burgers until at least 1am, especially on Fridays, Saturday & Sundays. Had we know this, we would had gone to a restaurant. However, the staff was very friend and polite, as usual. I would not necessarily recommend this hotel to friend or family. Must say, when it was under the Radisson Cable Beach management, this hotel will top notch.

I was very dissapointed in the Hotel. The resteruants were closed for most of our stay. We had to change rooms twice once because of a smell, and another time because of bugs in the room (alot of bugs). It was too far away from everything!

I stayed at the Hilton last time I was in Nassau, but decided to try out the Sheraton this time because it was a better deal price-wise.....and it truly was a better deal. The hotel is nicer and in a better location than the Hilton. It has better pools, good restaurants, more to do (to include a neighboring casino) and the best part, a Starbucks at the next door casino! The service could be better but it was in par with what I experienced at the Hilton. I definitely will stay at the Sheraton next time around.

I would say that the hotel was very nice in apperance., But the food at the hotel was very bad for the money that a person would spend to eat. They need changes food wise it was terrible. The location was excellent. Service was good. I would not recommend eating there, because it is to high off a price for non quality food.

Cannot recommend this hotel at all. We had to change our room, as there were ants in the first room (on the 7th floor). To be precise: We had to throw a fit to get a new room, as the staff mentioned that there were only "a few" ants and that this wasn't an issue. Once we got to the new room, we laid down on the bed that was so used that it made loud noises everytime you moved. Even the maid was agreeing that this was not ok. Again, we were put on hold by the operator and only after I personally spoke to the manager in the lobby, we were given a new matress by the head of housekeeping. Overall, the food in the hotel is overpriced and not to be recommended (a heated frozen pizza costs you 17$ a fruit cup 8$). The reception desk is ALWAYS understaffed, so expect at least 20minute wait. Staff is not helpful at all with one exception: our housekeeper was fantastic and did everything she could to make our vacation nicer. While I would recommend the Bahamas as a great vacay destination, do not go to this hotel, as it does not live up to the expectation you typically associate with this hotel name.

We have no complaints about the hotel. The rooms were very nice with beautiful ocean views. The beach was also very nice and they have several large pools which are very well kept. There are hundreds of places to sit so no need to fight with the other guests. Very easy to get downtown as well....bus comes right in front of hotel and will take you downtown in less than 10 minutes for $1.25 and it is a beautiful ride along the beach! There are a few bars in the hotel, and a few places to eat. There is one very nice rest. but we didn't eat there so I can't review. It looked great. Food and drinks are expensive, but they are everywhere on the island...no more here than anywhere else. It is more of a family friendly kind of hotel, but we had fun all the same (couple in our 30's, no kids). There is a casino as well, $5 live blackjack tables

The Sheraton was terrible. We had to keep asking for towels. There is no sich thing as an affordable meal. The services were just not there. The ATM was down for 5 of 7 days we were there. The restaurants in Sheraton, the Wyndham next door and the casino were all closed sporadically due to renovations. transportation to anywhere was $23 one way. The tub stopper didn;t work so you could not take a bath. There were ants in our room from the first day. This hotel charges $40 per day extra if you book through any company but Expedia. Ended up our great packahe deal cost us more than a luxury suite in vegas would have.

My husband and I went there for our anniversary and had such a great time!! The staff was so nice and so friendly. Drinks were a bit expensive. You were better off buying a bottle in the liquor store and getting mixers to go with it. Food at the grill was good but the food prices at the hotel seemed very high. We ate at local restaurant. We had no problems catching buses down to the city to go site seeing or catching taxi's back
