Location
Found in the heart of the city called Golden Triangle, Melia Hotel is close to the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre and the Kuala Lumpur Tower. Also nearby is Bukit Nanas, a tropical rain forest in the city.

Location is excellent, and so is staff. Lobby looks nice, but my room could use an update. Overheard several people complain about internet in rooms did not work.

Our experience was the best of the 4 hotels we stayed at for our travels this time. The facilities are great and the staff very proactive and friendly while the costs give excellent value. The location is particularly good with everything e.g. restaurants, shopping, entertainment, monorail, other transport very convenient. We would readily recommend the hotel to our friends.

３泊４日で年末年始に宿泊したが、滞在２日目夜にトラブルがあり、至急シンガポールに１０箇所以上電話連絡する事態に陥った。ホテルのWiFiは有料で、長時間インターネットが必要になったため58RM支払い、部屋へ戻り、部屋の電話からシンガポールにかけようとするが全くつながらない。その上電話でフロントにクレームしてもスタッフがなかなか来ず。しばらくしてスタッフ、電話回線のオペレーターなど次々来訪し、１時間以上チェックするが分からず。 結局全室においてある国際電話ガイドの印刷ミスが発覚＋ホテル自身の電話交換の設定ミスで、換えてもらった部屋からも電話はつながらず。通話できるようになったのは翌朝１０時以降で時既に遅し。スペイン人のディレクターが来て陳謝するまで３時間は経過。その間対応にきたインド人のスタッフと電話オペレーターはこちらの電話番号のうち間違いだとか、受話器の置き方が悪いだの、マレーシア国内はつながるからこの電話に問題はないだの対応が最悪。最初は部屋交換要求さえ拒否。スペイン人ディレクターの陳謝を受け入れ気を取り直して残りの１日をこのホテルで過ごし、最終日チェックアウトを申し込むと、国際電話が使えなかった期間中、スタッフが来て当方の代わりに室内で何回もチェックした国際電話代と、翌日やっと開通し再確認のために、スタッフが来訪してかけた電話料金を請求してくる始末。フロントのマレー系の女性スタッフは請求書にかいてあるんだから支払えの一点張りで、また一悶着。初老の中国系女性マネージャーが最終的にいやそうな顔ででてきて「ああ、昨夜の件ねー。いいのよ払わなくて。宿泊費はエージェントを通してもう払ってるんでしょ？。じゃ、帰っていいわよ」と悪びれることなくあっさり一言。 ホテル組織の上下連絡が全くなっていないし、スペイン人のディレクターと、こちらの言い分をきちんと聞いて対応してくれた夜間勤務の若い赤いYシャツのユニフォームを着たマレー系男性スタッフ（フロントマネージャー？）、レストランスタッフ以外は全くホスピタリティが感じられず。一番客と接する、青いYシャツのユニフォームレベルのスタッフの教育がさっぱりなっていない。 KLには何度も来馬し、ヒルトン、シェラトン、ブルバード、ワンワールド、インターコンチネンタル、パークロイヤルなど公私でいろいろ宿泊しているが、こんなに最低なホテルは人生において初めてである。とても４☆ホテルのランクではない。もう二度とメリアグループのホテルには宿泊しない。

Great staff, close to centre of town, quiet and right next to the monorail. WIll stay again.
